About Us

Since 2005 Fahnestock Ranch has continued to place an ever-growing amount of unwanted horses into loving forever homes. With your support and help, we have continued this mission to help more horses and people in need. In order to help fund the ever-increasing costs of the care for these animals we also offer various equine activities at your home, your horses place of residence, or other pre-planned locations throughout Southern CA. including trail riding, riding lessons, horse training, pony birthday parties, horse hauling, and much more.

All donations and funds go directly back into our successful rescuing, training, and rehabilitating, unwanted, starving and neglected horses and re-homing them with happy families. In 2014 we incorporated and have been recognized as a charitable organization, receiving our 501(c)(3) status. We are 100% volunteer organization and are constantly looking for like-minded individuals that are willing to give back, and donate their valuable time alongside us to help in this growing need. We have enjoyed this charity work so much and know that it touches everyone involved with volunteering as well as the recipients of our hard work.

Working together side-by-side, horse, and volunteers, create a strong united bond which stimulates, and creates learning, and physically rewarding environment like no other, and is an ultimate source of therapy for so many ailments in our everyday lives.

Please join us in helping the thousands of people and horses in need of care and support.  We look forward to hearing from you on how we can farther make a difference in the world around us.

Our Mission

To locate and take in all breeds of horses, donkeys, and mules that are abandoned, neglected, abused, unwanted and in danger of going to slaughter. These equine are brought to our facility for TLC, care, and support necessary to rehabilitate them from their past cruel experiences.

During their stay at the ranch, volunteers deliver daily necessary care and natural horsemanship training to restore or gain their trust in mankind. This is a time process that varies for each individual equine mostly dependent upon the severity of their past cruelty. Volunteers then search out the best possible adoptive, loving, forever home, giving them a new outlook on life.
